Do they make a four door Ford Ranger?

The Ford Ranger is a midsize pickup truck that has been in production since 1983. While the Ranger is available in a variety of configurations, including extended cab and crew cab body styles, Ford does not currently offer a four-door version of the Ranger.

The Ford Ranger Lineup

The Ford Ranger is available in the following configurations:

  • Regular Cab: A two-door, single-row cab configuration

  • SuperCab: An extended cab with a small rear seat and two small rear doors

  • SuperCrew: A four-door, full-size crew cab with a full-size rear seat

The SuperCrew is the closest the Ranger comes to a four-door configuration, but it still has a shorter rear seat and smaller rear doors compared to a full-size pickup truck like the Ford F-150.

Why Doesn't Ford Offer a Four-Door Ranger?

There are a few reasons why Ford has not produced a four-door version of the Ranger:

  • Market Positioning: The Ranger is positioned as a midsize pickup, slotting below the full-size F-150. A four-door Ranger could potentially cannibalize sales of the larger F-150.

  • Packaging and Design: Fitting a full-size four-door cab on the Ranger's midsize platform would be challenging from an engineering and design perspective.

  • Customer Demand: Most Ranger buyers prioritize utility and capability over passenger space, so the existing cab configurations likely meet their needs.

While a four-door Ranger may appeal to some customers, Ford's current lineup strategy and engineering constraints make it unlikely that such a model will be produced in the near future.
