Will the Chevy Bolt be available in 2025?

Yes, the Chevy Bolt electric vehicle (EV) will continue to be available in 2025. The Bolt has been in production since 2016 and is expected to remain a key part of Chevrolet's lineup of electric cars in the coming years as the automaker expands its EV offerings.

Overview of the Chevy Bolt

The Chevy Bolt is a compact all-electric hatchback that was first introduced in 2016. It was one of the first mainstream, affordable long-range EVs on the market, with an EPA-estimated range of 259 miles on a single charge. The Bolt has been a popular choice for consumers looking for a practical and efficient electric vehicle at a relatively accessible price point.

Chevy Bolt's Future in 2025

According to the latest information from Chevrolet, the Bolt EV will continue to be part of the automaker's lineup in 2025 and beyond. The Bolt is expected to receive periodic updates and refreshes to keep it competitive with other EVs on the market. Some of the potential changes and improvements we may see in the 2025 Bolt include:

  • Increased driving range, potentially reaching 300 miles or more on a single charge

  • Improved charging speeds and capabilities

  • Updated interior and exterior design elements

  • Enhanced technology features and connectivity options

  • Potential introduction of a longer-range Bolt EUV (Electric Utility Vehicle) variant

As Chevrolet and other automakers continue to invest heavily in electric vehicle development, the Bolt is likely to remain a key part of the company's EV strategy in the coming years. Consumers can expect the Bolt to be available for purchase in 2025 and beyond, providing an affordable and practical electric vehicle option.

Is Chevy coming out with a new Bolt?

Even though production is set to begin later in 2025 at GM's Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas City, the new Bolt will be a 2027 model-year introduction. We're not sure that means anyone needs to wait until 2027 to buy one—most likely, the Bolt will become available early in 2026.
