What is the difference between TLX and TLX a-spec?

The main difference between TLX and TLX a-spec lies in the level of performance and features offered. TLX is the standard trim level, while TLX a-spec is a more premium and sportier variant of the TLX sedan.

TLX: The Standard Trim

The TLX is Acura's midsize luxury sedan, offering a balance of comfort, technology, and performance. It comes equipped with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine or an available 3.5-liter V6 engine, both paired with a smooth-shifting automatic transmission. The TLX provides a comfortable and composed ride, making it a practical choice for daily commuting and family use. Key features of the standard TLX include:

  • Acura's signature Jewel Eye LED headlights

  • Dual-zone automatic climate control

  • Leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob

  • Heated front seats

  • Acura's infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen display

The TLX is designed to offer a well-rounded package that appeals to a wide range of luxury sedan buyers.

TLX a-spec: The Sportier Variant

The TLX a-spec takes the standard TLX and adds a more aggressive and sporty appearance, as well as some performance-oriented upgrades. The key differences between the TLX and TLX a-spec include:

  • Unique front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and rear spoiler for a more aggressive look

  • Larger 19-inch wheels with performance tires

  • Sportier suspension tuning for a more responsive and engaging driving experience

  • Paddle shifters for the automatic transmission

  • Exclusive interior trim and accents, such as red leather seats and contrast stitching

The TLX a-spec is aimed at buyers who want a more dynamic and performance-focused luxury sedan, without sacrificing the comfort and technology features of the standard TLX.
